i have a love for black & white. some people may think it’s monotonous and boring but i think otherwise.

it’s stable and consistent, yet can throw a surprise with the right touches.

an outfit can be black & white. (kate moss does it really well). in any case, throw in a splash of colour or a statement accessory/shoe and a world of difference it makes.

photographs, when black & white, evokes a stronger emotion of the picture and the story behind it.

my 2 cows are black & white :)

back in writing

had the urge to revive this writing space. somehow for 2011, there’s been a lot of things going in my head, a lot of thoughts to pen. i’m wondering where to start. hmmm…

somehow i left 2010 hanging so we’ll just leave it there. in summary…

2010 ended with the sweetest proposal and 2011 started with a new job, a new place to call home (yet to move in), & a hubby in the making. well, at least these are the ‘milestones’ for the year!

can’t say much about the job but the personal side of life it getting exciting. :)

Yet another encouragement I received from God last week in the midst of everything at work.

This is so going to be applicable to me this week as it seems that it is indeed going to be the worst possible scenario at the moment with A gone on leave for a week. Well, I’ll survive nonetheless and I’m trying to keep a positive mind as much as I can. :)

“When He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold.” Job 23:10

In life, there’ll always be times when we face the “worst case scenarios”. Sometimes it may not be that bad, but in that particular moment, we just feel that it’s the worst as worse can get. Each of us dreads the thought of something in particular: financial loss, the death of a child or spouse, cancer, or another loss or hardship.

The book of Job is a case study in worst possible scenarios. Yet Job wisely assessed God’s role in trying circumstances of loss and poor health: “He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth as gold” (Job 23:10). From this wise statement we can learn two valuable lessons:

What we dread most can be used to test our character and make us stronger.
- As the old saying goes, what doesn’t break us make us. Hang in there and learn to be of a better character with a better mentality to handle the situation. That’s what I’m going to remind myself to learn. :)
God will provide the strength and comfort to see us through.
- Thank God I can take courage and take heart that He is ALWAYS there no matter what happens. Even from yesterday’s sermon, He reminded me that even when Peter failed Jesus by denying him, Jesus never blamed him or took offence. Instead, he constantly reminded Peter of His love for him.

I’m so glad I have Your love Lord. :)

be thou my vision

The past few weeks have been tough at work, and I was glad there was some progression, albeit a little fast for comfort right now.

I’m not sure how to make of the situation at the moment, and I’m trying to figure out how to make the best out of it. I know He’s holding my hand all the way. All I have to do is to let him lead. Every step of the way.
